Sense your way toward safety, speaking your body, and unhiding.
Do you feel like you need to hide your body to feel safe? Does pain - whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual whisper that your body is wrong or bad?
I’ve been there.
Listening to these whispers for weeks, months, even years on end can lead to anxiety and depression, hindering career goals, and isolating yourself from supportive relationships, including the relationship you have with yourself.
Your body isn’t wrong or bad, it’s a matter of finding how you can experience yourself, see not only how you move, but how you perceive yourself moving through different senses. Grow curious with “What do I notice about myself as I move, breathe, write, or make sound?”
Explore how functional movement (including breath), coin scarves, handwriting, and brain-based exercises can lead you toward clarity and safety.
Relearn how you interact with yourself - without judgment, shame or fixing.
I support women who
Feel disconnected, self-conscious, or hidden in their body.
Experience body shame, startle response or sensory sensitivity.
Struggle with coordination, focus, or learning readiness
Have chronic pain or a history of illness, injury, or trauma.
Want a gentle and non-fixing approach to rebuilding clarity and confidence.
What to expect when you work with me
Increased body awareness and self-trust
Improved breath/movement coordination and regulation
Greater ease with movement and daily tasks
A kinder relationship with yourself.
Why coin scarves and handwriting?
The coin scarves aren’t about dance or performance, their weighted, sound, and visual feedback help us make sense of the messages that the brain is sending us.
The handwriting tool - Trust Fall Writing - is a way to listen to whatever truths come through our intuition. We listen to a poem or excerpt, choose a line to begin writing from and then we write as fast as comfortable. This continuous writing -without editing, questioning, or judging quiets the areas of the brain that ask us to hide out of fear and label our body as “right,” “wrong,” “good,” and “bad.” After writing, we meet ourselves on the page again, this time by asking and reflecting on non-judgmental questions about our writing voice. This allows us to practice being objective toward ourselves.
I also lead Trust Fall Writing groups and individual TFW sessions. If interested, please visit the “Trust Fall Writing Events” page for more information.
